The Captain

Captain Keith Meverden holds U.S. Coast Guard Master, Radar Observer, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Operator, and Towing licenses. As a U.S. Army-licensed First Mate, Keith served aboard the Army's 174-foot LCU2000 class vessels throughout the Persian Gulf during operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as a Watercraft Operator Instructor at the Army's Watercraft School at Ft. Eustis, Virginia. He is currently a commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, Sector Lake Michigan. A certified diver since age 15, Keith is a NAUI Open Water Instructor and a Full Cave and Advanced Trimix diver. Keith has a Master's degree in Maritime History, and works as an underwater archaeologist for the Wisconsin Historical Society.

The Mate

Tamara Thomsen needs little introduction, as her involvement with the dive industry has taken her around the world. The owner of Diversions Scuba, her short list of accomplishments include many underwater cave exploration projects in Mexico, Missouri, Florida, and Wisconsin, the Piquette Mine Project, USS Monitor dive team member, Manufacturer's Rep, published underwater photographer, Full Cave Instructor and Advanced Trimix Instructor.

All divers must present a certification card from a recognized agency for the depth to which they will be diving, or participating in a training dive for certification to that depth under instructor supervision. A minimum of Advanced Open Water certification is HIGHLY recommended for all divers aboard Latitude. On-board training available through Diversions Scuba.
